Anti-Racism, Inclusion, and Diversity Recording With André Robert Lee (Educator & Film Maker)

It was such a pleasure having André Robert Lee, an Educator, Film Maker, & Speaker as a guest last month, where we discussed Anti-Racism, Inclusion and Diversity.

André Robert Lee is a Film Maker, Keynote Speaker, Consultant, Writer, and Educator. He has committed his entire career to building an army of change agents. His process includes Many Things; New York City Public Schools, The Ford Foundation, Miramax Films, Urbanworld, Film Movement, Diana Ross, BET, Universal, PBS, HBO, Sundance, Picturehouse, and Dreamworks. André directed and produced The Prep School Negro and took it on a worldwide tour over the past 12 years. André’s served as producer on the documentary I’m Not Racist…Am I? André received a Fellowship in 2013 and was tasked with Directing and Producing the 12-month series Life Cycles of Inequity: A Colorlines Series on Black Men. André created The Election Effects Project for Paramount TV. André’s film Virtually Free is the story of incarcerated youth in Richmond, Virginia and has won best short documentary at a few film festivals. André’s next film is The Road to Justice which documents the Civil Rights Tours he has led throughout the American South. He is the Executive Producer on this film. His Co-Directors worked closely with André to craft this story. André has also been tasked with developing short documentary for Strayer Studies in partnership with Blackhouse (Sundance), which will be used in Strayer University online classes with an effort to bring lessons to real life. André has also been leading the cause for development of a feature film or series on the life and times of Bayard Rustin. André also teaches Filmmaking at the Germantown Friends School. He has worked with the school to develop a film program for Middle and Upper School. André has also served as a Professor of writing at The Wharton School of University of Pennsylvania.


With fifteen years of HR leadership experience, Anthony Paradiso is very passionate about Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity in our professional careers, but also in our personal lives. Anthony is the Founder & President of AllThingzAP, where it is his primary mission for all to be their full authentic self.

Anthony is also a Human Resources Business Partner with Industrial U.I. Services and enjoys being on a host of boards and committees, such as the Diversity & Inclusion Director for the Garden State Council – SHRM (GSC-SHRM) and the VP of D&I with the North Jersey – Rockland Chapter SHRM. Additionally, he is a Bergen County Human Relations Commissioner, part of the YWCA Northern Jersey Racial Justice Taskforce, and a recent board member with the New Bridge Medical Center Foundation.


He also has recently become involved in local politics. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, it is important that we have representation and have a sit at the table. Anthony ran on a platform surrounding the importance of diversity of thought and embracing inclusion. Everyone should have a voice - regardless of the color of their skin, their religion, sexual orientation, gender, age, disability, their tenure in town, occupation, education, etc.


He has written a number of published articles for SHRM, WorkHuman, Workology, Rezoomo, Achievers, etc. and has been quoted in HR Magazine, Namely, Bonusly, HR Bartender, and “Making Work Human," the latest from WorkHuman’s Eric Mosley & Derek Irvine, the pioneers behind the human workplace movement. Anthony has given a number of presentations and lectures about D&I, inclusion, being your authentic self, the importance of storytelling, unconscious bias, employee relations and facilitated workshops surrounding diversity & inclusion that include the privilege walk. He believes that in order to move the needle in the right direction we must have those tough conversations.


Anthony is a member of the New Jersey LGBT Chamber and am NGLCC nationally certified. His education includes a BA from Binghamton University, MS in Human Relations & Business, and he is HR Certified. Serving as a Speaker, Influencer, Blogger, and Educator Anthony is proud to have influenced the industry regarding unbiased and inclusive work environments. With a broad skill set in all aspects of HR, and a compassionate, resourceful personality, Anthony constantly strives to be that top-performing diplomat.​
